Kevin PS

Kevin Naidoo

Kevin Naidoo is a true traveller. Having hitchhiked across 50 countries, it’s no surprise his family calls him as a nomad. Kevin lives his life through his heart. Fascinated by cultures, traditions and spirituality, Kevin’s adventures have taken him from living on remote islands, trekking across Africa and bathing in the Ganges. The combination of travelling and yoga have always connected him with his true self.

Kevin was first introduced to the practice of yoga while living in the Caribbean. He immediately loved it, noting the connection to his body and his increased clarity of mind. He continued to practise yoga informally and became more engaged in the teachings. He decided to formalize his training and travelled to India to pursue his teacher training at the Sivananda School, receiving his certification in Classical Hatha Yoga. Since then, he has also completed his Vinyasa training and certification with Ryan Leier and found his practice with Krishnamacharya’s teachings. He has also attended many workshops and completed a six-month mentorship with his teacher.

Kevin teaches predominantly Hatha, Yin and Vinyasa Flow classes set to positive island vibes. His classes are creative and challenging. Learn the roots of this ancient practice as Kevin weaves in Indian vedic philosophy into every class. Move with him, ignite the pranic energy in your body, and find stillness and oneness in each pose. Each of his classes end with some Yoga Nidra, leaving you feeling blissful. Kevin truly feels blessed and thankful for yoga and has so much love for his ever-inspiring teachers. He is grateful to be able to share this practice.

Millissa Greenwood

After years of travelling the world Millissa Greenwood began to sense it was time to take a new direction in life. She took a moment to regroup and ask herself, “What lights me up from the inside?” Quickly she realized it was yoga, and more specifically, AcroYoga. Once she came to this conclusion her yoga journey began in earnest. In November 2012 Millissa completed her 200-hour teacher training with Maya Yoga. After participating in multiple AcroYoga immersions, she completed her level one AcroYoga teacher training in April of 2013. Throughout her life Millissa has continuously used her personal strength and playful attitude to seek out adventures and overcome challenges, which is why she is drawn to AcroYoga and what makes her an enticing instructor. Through Millissa’s magnetic energy you will bask in her love for the moment. The authenticity of her presence is vibrant and makes her a beacon for life.

Vincent

Vincent Lu

Vincent Lu (E-RYT 200 & RYT 500) has studied a variety of Hatha Yoga styles, including Ashtanga, Power, Vinyasa, Sivananda, Iyengar, Yin, Therapeutic and Restorative. He blends this eclectic mix into his own personal practice and teachings. In the thousands of yoga classes Vincent teaches each year to students of all levels, he blends the body, mind and spirit, believing without the union of all three in conjunction with the breath there is no yoga, just physical movement. His classes incorporate balance, meditation, pranayama, mindfulness, presence and personal revolutions. He focuses on anatomical principals of alignment, injury prevention, rehabilitation and balancing strength and flexibility. Students are encouraged to listen to their body, adapt the postures and play with their limits without exceeding them. Yoga is Vincent’s passion and he believes it is critical to maintain balance in all aspects of life. His hope is to facilitate students to improve their life by making permanent changes in their body, mind and spirit as they incorporate the principals of yoga into everyday living. Vincent Lu is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance.

Alauna

Alauna Whelan

Alauna Whelan owns and operates Roots of Life where she creates handmade gemstone jewelry, prayer beads, herbal salves, and provides services to postpartum women and families. Alauna began creating gemstone pieces when she was gifted a tray of beads and tools from one of her best friends in 2014. She started by making pieces for herself as a creative outlet. Soon requests for custom pieces were pouring in from close friends and family. Roots of Life gemstone jewelry continues to grow and some signature pieces can be found at Positive Passions in Saskatoon. When not tapping into her creativity, Alauna can be found chasing after her two busy boys, enjoying Saskatchewan summers at the lake with her husband and kids, and spending quality time with friends and extended family.

Nicole

Nicole Golden

Nicole Golden is interested in finding quiet and stillness through yoga. At times, quiet can be found through vigorous movement like vinyasa yoga, SUP Yoga or Dragon Flow, and other time stillness can be found through quiet introspective practices like Yin or Chakra Meditation. What is common to all of these practices is a commitment to the practice; a steady, focused attention on whatever we are doing. In the quiet is a gift that only you can find and understand. You are encouraged in Nicole’s classes to find your quiet, your stillness and your gift. She looks forward to sharing space with you on the water and on the mat.

Louise L

Louise Lavigne

My journey in the world of yoga took a more professional turn in 2005. After several years of informal practice in Canada, I was offered the chance to do a Yoga Teacher Training with Integral Yoga Institutes & Satchidananda Ashrams in Mexico. Since then, I haven’t stopped being a student of yoga and meditation, studying different styles and traditions, participating in workshops, retreats and teacher trainings. Studying and teaching has taken me many places around the globe such as Mexico, Canada, USA, Spain and India. Yoga for me has been a never-ending adventure. The beauty, strength, balance and wisdom embodied in and connected with this ancient practice never ceases to amaze me. In my classes I aim to promote a healthy balance between the mind and the body, which can involve going beyond habitual comfort zones to break patterns that no longer serve, and to gain new ground. This, of course, is most effectively achieved in a positive and light-hearted environment, which I endeavour to provide in the classes I offer. It is a gift to be able to share my practice, reflecting teachings of my many teachers who have brought me to where I am today. I do this with full gratitude, savouring each moment whether it’s sweet, sour or spicy! Currently, I teach yoga in English and in Spanish in Seville, Spain, but I also reserve the time to teach regularly in Canada.

Scott

Scott O.

I came to yoga to find peace and stillness of mind during a very difficult time in my life. The physical practice was interesting to me, but my only goal was peace. My practice quickly blossomed as I explored my body and mind. I follow where my practice leads me, through many different adventures and experiences, finding my way to right here. I’ve trained and taught in many different forms and styles from the therapeutic to the acrobatic. I’ve been sharing my practice through teaching for almost three years now, yet I truly feel like I’ve only just begun. AcroYoga found me just over two years ago and I’ve been addicted super enthusiastic about it ever since! I want to be able to bring the community, the play and the smiles I find to everyone I practice with.
