Frequently asked questions

Q. Where is the retreat held? How do I get there?

A. Here’s how you get to Ski Timber Ridge:

Ski Timber Ridge is located five kilometres south of the town of Big River, Saskatchewan. If you’re coming from Saskatoon, drive north on highway 55. You will turn east (right) on a dirt road (Ladder Valley Road) at the Ski Timber Ridge sign (about three kilometres past the mill). Signs mark the entrance.

The physical address is: NE 28-55-7 W3 RM Big River #555

Q. What accommodations are available?

A. Camping on-site is included in your weekend pass. It is not technically a campsite and there are no power hook-ups, but you are surrounded by boreal forest and you’re right outside from the chalet, which has bathrooms and washrooms.

For other accommodation options near the ski hill, we recommend visiting The Timberland Motel is good if you are looking for a hotel room and it is very close to Ski Timber Ridge.

There are also a few Yurt’s available at Nesslin Lake:

Q. I am new to yoga. Can I still attend?

A. Yogis of all levels are welcome at this retreat. Beginners should find many sessions suitable and appealing. Each year we try to offer a variety of asana (physical) classes for all levels of practitioners from beginners to advanced. We also offer a variety of non-physical sessions and workshops focused on holistic nutrition, pranayama (breathwork), meditation, painting and creating, self-care and space clearing, drumming, hikes and more.
